The industrial market of parts for metal-mechanic use, has a wide range of applications for the products we manufacture under the highest quality standards, in terms of durability, appearance and shapes. Depending on the nature of the final products in which they shall be used and the markets to which they are directed, our products compete in the electrical and electronic industry, particularly in the assembly of cabinets and control panels. Painted steel products are also needed for container and storage systems requiring color and finish designs for department stores or supermarket. We compete in the vertical transportation industry in which our laminated products have been widely accepted.
The lighting market also needs painted products to manufacture lamps for residential and industrial use. This sector also requires products with durable aesthetic appearance as well as diverse delivery services to maintain its competitiveness. Furthermore, some manufacturers combine our painted steel sheets with chemical foam to produce insulated panel systems for cold rooms or booths (partitioned areas).
This is one of the industries with the highest market standards for painted products. As a results of its continuous innovation, this sector constantly requires new high-end market products with sophisticated applications, capricious shapes and particular colors and finishes, such as flatness control, restrictive tolerance, reflectivity of external parts, high-quality colors and contemporary design- finishes. Just like in the white goods industry, the air conditioning, heaters, and refrigeration industry must remain in constant product innovation in order to keep a strong position in the market. This results in more competitive coated steels, both in functionality, as well as in appearance. New developments not only demand controlled dimensions. The service centers have a wide range of coated steel specifications, since they provide support for the automotive, white line and HVAC/R industry, by transforming steel in specific parts to be assembled at assembly plants. All of these industries demand galvanized and painted products with the same physical and chemical requirements according to their practical use and application as a final product. Due to its particular nature, this market sector uses steel coils with no additional transformation, since they have their own equipment to make all modifications required by the industry sector they provide support for.
The automotive industry has particular specifications concerning steel properties and coating, requiring products with steel coating layers between G30 and G90, in die-cutting or high-resistance steels with limited tolerances, depending on the use of the material for its final product. Galvasid competes in this industry through stamping machinery that manufacture interior components to be assembled on light and heavy vehicles.
The distribution segment concerns the trade of products used in the construction industry or in some low-demand industrial applications. These are mainly corrugated steel products or G60 and/or AZ50 layered flat sheets in gauges ranging from 20 to 32. As to painted products, we use basic colors such as white, red or sand. In some cases, these are substitute products for traditional materials such as cement and roof rods, or for those intended for manufacturing gutters used for downspouts or air conditioning conduction ducts, or as die-cut profiles for metal access panels for plaster.
Our custom measure/dimension painted or galvanized products for the US market represent the majority of materials for export, mainly coated steel coils for the residential construction sector, in colors specifically developed for our clients’ projects. These market sectors require continuous paint and color support services (which are of a particular nature) as well as celerity in the logistics process to guarantee the timely arrival of our products to their final destination.
